Hi there!
I am Lisa Blevis Filion.
I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, (with a 3 year stint in Maryland while my dad worked for the Canadian Embassy in the late 60's) and I have been in the US for 21 years now. In my past life, as a career woman, I practiced speech-language pathology but now my days are filled with the busy lives of my wonderful husband, "Mr. U" and 3 kids (two whom I homeschool now).
I am also a landlord (who could have imagined?!).
I learned to sew after my paternal grandmother gave me some money towards my first sewing machine when I was 13 years old. I took a quilting class at a community college about 20 years ago when I was beginning to "nest" and wanted to make a quilt for my first child. I have been addicted ever since!!!
I love blogging, twittering and have been known to be on Facebook too!
I am a perpetual early riser which gives me time to do what I like because the rest of my day is full!
